The Honolulu Marathon has set up a contest on its web site that allows everyone to run the marathon without actually running. All you do is input your name and such personal information as your heart rate -- both resting and maximum -- and your body fat percentage. You do have to know what a VO2 max is and what number to put under it.
Don't think of just maxing out all of the categories to win the T-shirt and hat, because your unrealistic runner would not be able to finish.
When you are finished training your runner, log back on Dec. 9 to see how you did against the rest of the Honolulu Marathon field.
