Liven chicken
with donburi sauce

This dish was prepared by chef Nobuyuki Atsumi of Imari Restaurant of the Hilton Waikoloa Village on "Hawaii's Kitchen" this week. The show airs at 5:30 p.m. Sunday on KHON/Fox.

Oyako Don

1/4 pound chicken breast or thigh
1/4 cup onion, sliced
2 ounces (about 1/4 cup) donburi sauce
1/4 cup green onion, julienned
1 egg, beaten
1 bowl steamed rice

Cook chicken and onion with sauce until it boils. Simmer for a while.

When chicken is cooked, add green onion and pour beaten egg over all. Cook to desired doneness.

Serve over rice.
