[THE SEARCH FOR SIGNS OF HAWAIIAN LIFE]

art
Former Hawaii residents David and Mary Anne Stubenberg at the Blomstervarkstedet Hawaii store -- say it out loud -- in Arhus, Denmark. "This flower shop specializes in flowers and plants from Hawaii, including protea, anthuriums, torch ginger, birds of paradise, orchids and tress ferns," reports Mary Anne. "Although Arhus is the second-largest town in Denmark, it is much smaller than Hilo."

"The Search for Signs of Hawaiian Life in the Universe" is just that: We're looking for evidence of Hawaiiana everywhere but Hawaii.
