Win $1 million

This month and next, Hilo Hattie stores are offering the opportunity to win $1 million. Entry blanks are available at all its stores, plus Pomare Collections at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki, the Hilo Hatties Collection store at Whalers Village on Maui, and seasonal stores at the Kaahumanu Shopping Center on Maui and Prince Kuhio Mall in Hilo.

One entry is permitted per person, per day. The winner of the contest receives a trip for two to Hawaii or Las Vegas and a chance to open a treasure chest at the Hilo Hatties Nimitz store on Jan. 16. It's good to be family

Outrigger and OHANA hotels have introduced a number of packages and programs for those vacationing through the holidays.

Those staying four nights at regular published rates will pay for just three as part of the First Night Free program, continuing through Jan. 1.

Those who stay for seven days will pay for five, and those who stay 11 days will pay for just eight. For more information, call 1 (800) OUTRIGGER.

>> "Twelve Days of Christmas": Between Dec. 21 and Jan. 1, the OHANA Keauhou Beach Resort will be offering nightly gifts coinciding with the local version of the popular holiday song, "The Twelve Days of Christmas," for those staying a minimum of five nights. Endless summer

From now through Dec. 31, kama'aina staying at the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel on the Big Island can take advantage of the resort's "Time to Play" golf package. Those with a Hawaii driver's license can play 18 holes at the Hapuna Golf Course for $49 until 2 p.m., or $35 after 2 p.m., plus receive a 15 percent discount on lunch at the pro shop's Arnie's restaurant. Meanwhile, the "Kama'aina Endless Summer" deal in effect through Dec. 16 includes ocean view accommodations at $195 per night with daily breakfast for two and a free night's stay on your next visit. Golfers' dream deal

If you need a place to stay in Kaanapali, the Maui Marriott Resort & Ocean Club is offering discounted rates starting at $99 for a mountain-view room, and $149 for a mountain-view suite, which accommodates up to four guests.
