Hawaii and communities around the globe will observe World AIDS Day on Saturday. Several events will be held across the state.

This year's theme, "I Care ... Do You?" focuses on awareness of the risk of the disease among men, women and youth, regardless of age, race or sexual orientation.

The day is meant to bring messages of compassion, hope, solidarity and understanding about HIV and AIDS.

OAHU
