Jesus Apeles, 91, of Aiea, a retired U.S. Navy chief petty officer, died Oct. 31 at St. Francis Medical Center. He was born in the Philippines. He is survived by wife Solidad; sons Dennis, Richard, Anthony and Nelson; daughters Jessica Pontillo and Marisa Apeles; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Emilio Rivera Daguio, 71, of Honokaa, Hawaii, a retired farm employee, died Friday in North Hawaii Community Hospital. He was born in the Philippines.
