Saturday, November 10, 2001 The Bloomberg Honolulu Star-Bulletin Index is a price-weighted index designed to measure the performance of Hawaii-based companies. The index was developed with a base value of 100 as of December 31, 1999. A chart of the index which shows the weekly performance of its members is published weekly in the Honolulu Star-Bulletin.

CB Bancshares Inc., whose stock price was unchanged the last two days, still had enough positive momentum to lead the way this week in the 14-company Bloomberg Honolulu Star-Bulletin Index. City Bank parent leads the pack
The parent company of City Bank saw its shares rise 5.85 percent to $34 as its stock increased its gain for the year to 44.2 percent.
Alexander & Baldwin Inc., up 2.68 percent, Bank of Hawaii parent Pacific Century Financial Corp., ahead 2.47 percent, and Schuler Homes Inc., up 2.38 percent, all were bunched behind CB Bancshares.
The biggest mover of the week was Kona biotech firm Aquasearch Inc., whose stock plummeted 50 percent to 6 cents ahead of its Dec. 7 court date to contest why it shouldn't be placed in involuntary bankruptcy. Aquasearch's stock has plunged 73.9 percent since Oct. 2.
