U.S. Marines in Hawaii celebrated the 226th birthday of the
Marine Corps yesterday at Marine Corps Base Hawaii in
Kaneohe. At Dowey Square on base, the Marines had a
cake-cutting ceremony as well as a historical Marine Corps
uniform pageant. Children from Windward Oahu schools
and family members also attended the celebration.
