Chief Justice Ronald T. Moon presented 16 awards last week to individuals and groups.
Receiving the individual Meritorious Service Award were Haruo Higuchi, Telecommunications & Information Services Division, Office of the Administrative Director; Susan Kitsu, Affirmative Action Office, Office of the Administrative Director; and Florita Querubin, Office of the District Court Administrator, Kauai District Court.
Winning the award in the group category were Legal Research and Adoption Records of Oahu Family Court, and Team Restorative Justice of the Hawaii Family Court.
For conveying a helpful, courteous attitude and promoting a positive image for the Judiciary, the following recipients were gived Spirit of the Judiciary Awards: Renee Catalan, Children and Youth Services Branch, Leeward Section, Oahu Family Court; Jean Kikumoto, Legislative Coordination/Special Projects Office, Office of the Administrative Director; Sondra Ona-ka, Adult Probation, Oahu Circuit Court; Marilyn Siaw, Adult Probation, Kauai Circuit Court; and Jill Sakamoto, Office of the Director, Oahu Family Court.
For their superior performance, the following people were awarded Certificates of Commendation: Gaye Flores, Children and Youth Services Branch, Foster Parenting Program, Oahu Family Court; Glori-Jean Kamealoha, Wai-anae Division, Oahu District Court; Gerald Oyasato, Probation Branch, Oahu District Court; and Robert Soto, Administrative Driver's License Revocation Office, Office of the Administrative Director.
Certificates of Commendation were awarded to the following groups: Adult Probation Division, Kauai Circuit Court; and Fiscal and Support Services, Systems Accounting Section, Office of the Administrative Director.
