Benjamin William Baker Jr., 83, of Kihei, a retired executive vice president of Maui Land & Pineapple Co., died Monday in Maui Memorial Medical Center. He is also a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was born in Kentucky. He is survived by wife Elizabeth, daughter Dr. Sherry Baker-Dahman, and son Benjamin William III. Private services in Langley, Ky.

Carlos Feliciano Dias Sr., 90, of Kaneohe, a retired pipefitter at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, died Oct. 20 in Kaneohe. He was born in Papaaloa, Hawaii. He is survived by sons Carlos F. Jr., Leonard B., and Reuben B.; brothers Edward Matias and Mariano; sister Sarah Rodrigues; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Caridad Amate Galinato, 81, of Lahaina, a retired farmer, died Monday at home. She was born in the Philippines. She is survived by son Alfredo; daughters Veronica G.
