New cruise ship comes to town

KEN SAKAMOTO / KSAKAMOTO@STARBULLETIN.COM
Royal Caribbean Cruises' newest ship, Radiance of the
Seas, docked in Honolulu Harbor at the Foreign Trade
Zone. Former Maui resident Darryl Mackay moved back
to Hawaii a week and a half ago and found the cruise ship
to be a good photo opportunity. The ship was in Honolulu
yesterday at the end of a 12-day cruise from Vancouver,
B.C. It was scheduled to leave today for a 10-night cruise
that will end in Ensenada, Mexico. The 961-foot-long,
88,000 ton ship can carry 3,360 passengers and a crew of
860. It cruises at 24 knots.
