LCC fair offers fun for everyone

Children can play with their food to their heart's content and no one will scold them at the Leeward Community College Family Fun and Craft Fair 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. tomorrow on the college campus.

College faculty and students have created a grand mix of hands-on interactive events to give kids of all ages a chance to challenge their intellectual muscles and have fun at the same time.

The event, now in its 12th year, includes the "Excitement in Education" attraction offering 25 activities, including one where keiki build bridges and skyscrapers under the guidance of pre-engineering students using uncooked spaghetti and marshmallows.

Other activities include bubble geometry, where kids learn to form bubbles in pyramids and other shapes and more.

The fair is free and has something for everyone with continuous entertainment, food, vision testing, keiki car seat inspections, carnival games, a white elephant sale, ceramics, sale, new car show and over 70 craft booths.

The school is at 96-045 Ala Ike St. Call 455-0483 for more information.
