nabramo@starbulletin.comBut the Pittsburgh Steelers defensive end piled up some big numbers yesterday, sacking Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Brad Johnson three times in a 17-10 victory.
Von Oelhoffen, who is in his eighth year after playing for Boise State, finished the game with seven tackles, including six solo stops.
Chris Fuamatu-Ma'afala, Steelers: The backup running back (St. Louis School/Utah) made a special teams tackle in Pittsburgh's win.
Olin Kreutz, Bears: The starting center (St. Louis School/ Washington) and his teammates on the offensive line had another big day, leading Chicago's ball-control offense in complementing the Bears' dominant defense in a 24-0 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. The O-line helped running back Anthony Thomas rush for 188 yards and quarterback Jim Miller to pass for 232 yards.
Ma'a Tanuvasa, Chargers: The veteran defensive tackle (Mililani High School/Hawaii), playing mostly in third-and-long situations, made his first tackle in a San Diego uniform. He sacked Denver Broncos quarterback Brian Griese for a 3-yard loss in the third quarter of a 27-10 victory against his former team.
Mario Fatafehi, Cardinals: The rookie defensive tackle (Farrington High School/Kansas State) made his second NFL tackle during Arizona's 24-16 win over the Kansas City Chiefs.
Jason Elam, Broncos: The kicker (Hawaii) made a 45-yard field goal but missed a 42-yarder in a 27-10 loss at San Diego.
Chris Naeole, Saints: The starting guard (Kahuku High School/Colorado) and his linemates allowed quarterback Aaron Brooks to be sacked five times in New Orleans' 20-13 loss to the Atlanta Falcons.
Kynan Forney, Falcons: The guard (Hawaii) was used sparingly in Atlanta's 20-13 victory over New Orleans.
Dominic Raiola, Lions: The backup center (St. Louis School/Nebraska) played on special teams in Detroit's 27-24 loss to the Tennessee Titans.
Adrian Klemm, Patriots: The offensive tackle (Hawaii) was on the 45-man active roster but wasn't used in New England's 38-17 victory over the Colts.
Kaulana Noa, Rams: The offensive lineman (Hawaii) is on St. Louis' 53-man roster, but didn't make the active list for the 34-14 win over the New York Jets.
Jeff Ulbrich, 49ers: The starting linebacker (Hawaii) and his teammates had a bye week.
Itula Mili, Seahawks: The backup tight end (Kahuku High School/Brigham Young) and his teammates had a bye week.
