Mary Akiu Apana, 86, of Waianae, a homemaker, died Oct. 8 in Maluhia Long Term Care Health Center. She was born in Kaunakakai, Molokai. William "Pops" Brock, 68, of Waianae, a retired 40-year telephone company employee, died Oct. 3. He was born in Redlands, Calif. Jie Zhen Guan, 91, of Honolulu, died Wednesday at home. She was born in China. She is survived by sons Lee Chuen, Le Ping, Tong Lee, Cheung Lee and Sai Teng Lee; daughter Yue Lee; brother Yuk; 16 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Grace Angela Keahi, 82, of Ewa Beach, a retired stenographer for the federal government, died Oct. 13. She was born in Montana. Emery Burton "Bob" Kingman, 83, of Kailua, retired owner of Kiddie Land, died Thursday. He was born in Plymouth Brockton, Mass. He is survived by wife Jean; daughters Mary A. Neal, Gail N. Exzabe and Lorelei C. Kanda; brother Donald Slack; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
