Aloha Bowl spokesman Les Keiter said yesterday that nothing had been firmed up.
"But we expect the Pro Bowl will be moved back a week," Keiter said. "We are open that weekend. We were prepared for that. It won't be a problem for us."
It will be a minor problem, however, for the Hula Bowl on Maui. Originally set for the same weekend as the Pro Bowl, the Hula Bowl will be played on Feb. 2 as planned.
"There are a lot of reasons we can't move it," Hula Bowl chief executive officer Lenny Klompus said. "One reason is recruiting is that next week and our college coaches can't afford to miss that, obviously.
"There will be some things where it will hurt us, like the players not being able to go to the Pro Bowl, but overall, everything else should be fine. We are very excited about this year's game. We understand why the Pro Bowl had to be moved."
