Aloha Airlines plans to resume limited curbside check-in service for travelers on Oahu starting today, a spokesman said.

The service will be available daily from 8 a.m. to noon at Honolulu Airport, spokesman Stu Glauberman said.

Curbside service on Maui is scheduled to resume from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. tomorrow, with service on Kauai set to return from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Glauberman said. A service plan for the Big Island has not yet been established.

The limited service, "is for reasons of staffing and to monitor the demand," Glauberman said.

Hawaiian Airlines also is working to resume curbside check-in pending the resolution of some technical issues, spokesman Keoni Wagner said.

All curbside check-in was suspended for security reasons following the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. The Federal Aviation Administration announced this week that it would allow the service to resume under strict security.
