STUDENTS SEND A CARD OF COMPASSION TO WASHINGTON

Preschool and elementary students at Kawaiahao Church
School gathered yesterday around a lei card that is being
sent to U.S. Sen. Dan Akaka in Washington, with hopes
that it will eventually reach the White House. The card
text reads: "This lei is our gift of aloha to the people of
the world. It is our symbol of peace and aloha."

Laie Elementary School and the Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-day Saints Temple.
