RUNNING OF THE HALALU AT HALEIWA

Dozens of fisherman converged on the shoreline at
Haleiwa Beach Park yesterday morning for the annual
run of the halalu. The small, tasty fish are pushed to
shore by larger predators. During the past several
years, the halalu have run at Waimea Bay.
