Eugene "Boy" Albinio, 73, of Pahoa, Hawaii, a retired chief engineer at the Sheraton Townhouse (Calif.), died last Thursday in Hilo. He is also survived by daughters Doreen "Dadi" Gano and Margene "Hulu" Alefosio. Inurnment: 3 p.m. tomorrow at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl. Cornelio "Corne" Bancaco, 77, of Lahaina, a retired equipment operator for Pioneer Mill, died Sunday in Maui Memorial Medical Center. He was born in Lahaina. He is survived by wife Oriete Lokelani, sons Cornelio Jr. and Kendall, daughters Val-erie Long and Renee, sisters Petronilla Flores and Rose Ramos, and eight grandchildren. Thomas Emil Bastis, 73, of Honolulu, a retired president of Ameron HC&D, died Saturday at home. He was born in Minneapolis. John "Johnny" Kwai Lum Chong, 65, of Honolulu, an operator for Kila Kila Limousine Service, died Aug. 28 in Hono-lulu. He was also a sixth-generation grandmaster Pak Mei Pai Kung Fu. He is survived by wife Debbi; sons Gabriel, Noah, Marcus and Damien; daughters Rebekah, Angelica, Laura Jean McShane, Johnelle Goalstone and Melissa Chun; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Duane W. Compton, 76, of Honolulu, a retired U.S. Army lieutenant colonel, died Sunday at home. He was also a retired schoolteacher at Campbell High School. He was born in Fargo, N.D.
