The index was developed with a base value of 100 as of December 31, 1999. A chart of the index which shows the weekly performance of its members is published weekly in the Honolulu Star-Bulletin.

Cheap Tickets Inc., bolstered by Cendant Corp.'s $425 million takeover offer, surged 38.23 percent this week to rout the other 13 stocks in the Bloomberg Honolulu Star-Bulletin Index. Cheap Tickets soars on
rich takeover offerThe Honolulu-based company, which received a 39 percent premium at $16.50 a share, closed yesterday at $16.38 and is now the index's best performer this year with a 68 percent gain.
Aquasearch Inc. was second with an 8.33 percent advance.
Hawaiian Airlines Inc. fell 7.69 percent to finish last.
