Teuvo A. "Gus" Ahola, 83, of Honolulu, a Pearl Harbor survivor and pioneer in space research, died Wednesday in Pohai Nani Care Center. He was born in Minnesota. He is survived by sons Teuvo A. "Ted" Jr. and Einar, daughter Tyne J. Cody, sister Irma Peterson, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Adelina "Lynn" Abille Asuelo, 51, of Waipahu, a purchasing agent at Pearl Harbor Defense Logistic Agency, died Aug. 3. She was born in the Philippines. She is survived by daughter Pamela; mother Trinidad Abille; brothers Agustin Jr., Restie, Virgil Sr., Arthuro and Alberto Abille; and sisters Lolita Gruspe, Elizabeth Ramirez and Norma Abida. Clara "Hardie" Dunn, 80, of Honolulu, a volunteer worker at Iolani Palace, died Monday. She was born in Harmony, Pa. Mildred Shizuko Hirano, 81, of Mililani died Thursday. She was born in Honolulu. Helen Mitsuka Hooke, 81, of Kamuela, died Sunday. She was born in Honolulu. Louise "Mary" "Sista" "Luika" Tutu Kaho'okele, 65, of Maui, a waitress at Lani Wai Nightclub and various others, died Wednesday at home. She was born on Maui. She is survived by sister Hazel K. Aragon; brothers Alfred L., Herbert K, William K. and James K.; adopted brothers Raymond W., William H. and Herbert P. Wade-Kaho'okele; hanai sisters Dorothy M. Kahalu Kaho'okele Kekahuna and Evelyn Pi'ikea Kaho'okele; and two hanai sons Eric Valdez and Jonathan Viloria. Rosalia "Rose" Shizuru Laude, 81, of Mililani died Tuesday. She was born in Makaweli, Kauai. Narciso Madamba, 91, of Lahaina, a retired Pioneer Mill laborer, died Aug. 2 in Hale Makua, Kahului. He was born in the Philippines. Maximo Nuesca Jr., 73, of Kailua, a retired meteorologist for the National Oceanographic Atmospheric Administration, died Thursday in Kailua. He was born in Kealia, Kauai. Miller, Lezlee Nuesca, Laurel Nu'uhiwa and Victoria Nuesca; sons Sterling, Mark, Michael, Guy Sr., Lloyd and Louis; sister Lillian Menor; brothers Abelardo and Ferdinand and Macario Dela Cruz Jr.; 18 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Leonardo "Andong" Cadiente Omnes, of Kunia, a retired truck driver for Del Monte Corp., died Monday. He was born in the Philippines. Earl Thomas Sapp, 80, of Franklin, Ind., a retired employee of RCA Communications, died Thursday in Hickory Creek Nursing Home, Franklin. He was born in Findley, Ky. Ruth Misao Sugimoto, 83, of Waipahu, died July 31. She was born in Waipahu. She is survived by husband Osamu, sons Dennis and Harvey, daughters Sharon Kuroyama and Arlene Sugimoto-Kaneshiro, and five grandchildren. Private services.
