Times for the Blue Hole tour: Two tours are offered every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. For the morning tour, participants meet in Puhi, two miles west of Lihue, across from Kauai Community College at 7:45 a.m. or in the front parking lot of Coconut Marketplace near Kapaa at 8:15 a.m. For the afternoon tour, meet in Puhi at 12:45 p.m. or at Coconut Marketplace at 1:15 p.m. The tour lasts about 3 1/2 hours.
Cost: $65 a person, $50 for children ages 5 through 12; includes refreshments. No children under 5 are allowed. Kamaaina receive a 10 percent discount.
Tip: The weather is unpredictable, and the trail may be wet and muddy. Wear good walking shoes and comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting dirty.
