ASAHI SUPER CUP OPENS

Urban Renewal/Rat Patrol, left, raced Hookipa down the
second leg of the triangular course during yesterday's
first day of the fifth annual Asahi Super Cup Yacht Race.
Not only did Urban Renewal skipper Les Vasconcellos
defeat the Hookipa, skippered by Kazuyuki Kamatani,
he finds himself in a first-place tie with Kaimiloa
in the PH-1 class.
