The Bloomberg Honolulu Star-Bulletin Index is a price-weighted index designed to measure the performance of Hawaii-based companies. The index was developed with a base value of 100 as of December 31, 1999. A chart of the index which shows the weekly performance of its members is published weekly in the Honolulu Star-Bulletin.

Cheap Tickets leads
local index

Cheap Tickets, which this week announced its "Thanks, George" discount travel campaign to help taxpayers spend their rebate checks, is the leader this week in the Bloomberg Honolulu Star-Bulletin Index. The company's stock saw a gain of 5.57 percent.

Big Island-based Cyanotech Corp. brought up the rear with a 6.25 percent drop in its stock this week.
