Kamehameha Highway repaving
to affect Windward traffic at night

A nighttime paving project will begin tonight on Kamehameha Highway near the Likelike Highway intersection in Kaneohe.

The state Department of Transportation warned motorists that lanes will be closed during the resurfacing work from 8 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. through Thursday. Work will be done between the Likelike intersection and Luluku Road in the Kailua-bound direction, and from Koa Kahiko Street to Likelike in the Kahaluu-bound direction.

Punchbowl and Beretania streets intersection; Punchbowl Street between King and Beretania streets, Vineyard Boulevard and Beretania Street, Vineyard Boulevard and Lusitana Street; and King Street improvements from Austin to Desha lanes.

H-1 from the vicinity of Punchbowl Offramp to Kapiolani Interchange and Kapiolani Interchange to Punchbowl Onramp.

H-1 from University to Kapiolani interchanges.

Run route begins at Kapiolani Park and goes to Kalakaua Avenue, Paki Avenue, Monsarrat Avenue, 18th Avenue, Kilauea Avenue, Elepaio Street, Kahala Avenue, Diamond Head Road, Kalakaua Avenue to marathon finish line.

Lanikai Bikepath 8K Run: 7 a.m. Sunday starting at Lanikai, top of hill, Mokulua Drive bike path, right onto Aalapapa Drive, right onto Mokulua Drive, repeat and finish at boat ramp at Kailua Beach Park.
