Ceremonies honor Tibetan goddess
The summer solstice will be celebrated tonight with ceremonies at Calvary-by-the-Sea Lutheran Church honoring the Tibetan water goddess, wise women and the goddess of healing and mercy.The festival and concert will feature the groups Sacred Sounds and Kajzendo, which will perform dance and music for meditation and healing.
Comfortable clothing is recommended, as the ceremonies are physical and interactive.
The event will run 7 to 9 p.m. at 5339 Kalanianaole Hwy. Admission is $15 at the door, $12 in advance. For more information, call 386-3311 or e-mail hermes3@hawaii.rr.com.
