New releases from Hawaii authors

bburlingame@starbulletin.comWhat a lot of work this must have been. Not just for writer Ide, who clearly instructs how to create dozens of seed-based leis in vivid step-by-step instructions, but for the uncredited photographer who shots hundreds of detailed photos, and for designer Sistenda Yim, who organized everything. This will become invaluable to Hawaii's hard-core crafters; other will wonder what the fuss is about. It's well-printed, attractive and virtually idiot-proof; always important for a craft book. The price is low enough also that a spare copy can be purchased to take apart to more easily follow the instructions.
