Art enthusiasts descended on the beach at Kualoa Regional Park by the dozens at last weekend's Raku Ho'olaule'a. The best of the works created will be on display 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays to Fridays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays through June 28 at the ARTS at Mark's Garage, 1159 Nuuanu Ave.

Pieces were judged by David Kuraoka, Joe Hawley and Kenji Soke Ito. The following artists received awards:

"Calla Lily Vase," by Karen Thrasher, won an
Award of Excellence in the Contemporary category.
