[Preview]

This preview of films opening this weekend runs Tuesdays in the Star-Bulletin:

Atlantis: The Lost Empire -- This PG-rated Disney adventure is about a historian's search for the underwater lost city. Strong mythical and mystical elements abound, illustrated with the typical high Disney standards. Preview audiences have called it a fun, energetic movie, full of invention and whimsy, with nary a character breaking into song (PG).

Tomb Raider--Forget "Pearl Harbor"--this movie will be THE summer blockbuster! Angelina Jolie was meant to bring to life the megapopular video game heroine Lara Croft. This big-screen adaptation will be action and adventure a-plenty, all without suffering video game controls aches and cramps. Here's hoping the closely-guarded plot won't suffer, having gone through numerous rewrites (PG-13).
