at Dinghy NationalsBoth Hawaii crews finished fifth in their respective divisions, with senior skipper Josh Henrich's group collecting 29 points in the "A" division and Brent Harrill scoring 25 points in the "B" division.
The Rainbows trail three teams -- College of Charleston, Tufts and Georgetown -- by only three points, but are 17 points behind overall leader Boston College.
UH's "B" division entry of Harrill and Jennifer Warnock outsailed the leaders by a single point on the first day but could not compete with the Eagles' near-perfect 11-point performance in the three-person event.
Only four of 18 planned races were completed on the first day.
Beach volleyball tourney Saturday at Queens
The Oahu Volleyball Association will host the Employee Specialists Shootout this Saturday at Queens Surf Beach.Players will compete in men's and women's divisions for a share of the $800 purse. World Team Tennis replaces Ekolu League
A World Team Tennis League for adults will begin July 28 at selected tennis courts on Oahu in lieu of the Ekolu League.Each WTT match consists of six no-ad sets, including one set of men's and women's doubles, one set of men's and women's singles, and two sets of mixed doubles. Scoring is cumulative, with the team winning the most games winning the match.
