New jobs

>> Nancy Moser has been named executive director of the YWCA of Hawaii Island. She will guide the 82 year-old organization's Kona, Kohala, Hamakua, Puna and Hilo site activities. Moser, who holds certification as a clinical specialist in gerontological nursing and is a licensed advanced practice registered nurse, is a part-time faculty member at the University of Phoenix.

>> Larry Ishii has been named vice president and corporate banking relationship officer at American Savings Bank. He was previously an assistant vice president and corporate banking relationship officer at the bank.

>> Rinda M. Ulbrickson has been named regional sales manager for the Pacific Northwest, Canada and Alaska at Aston Hotels and Resorts Hawaii. She had been the Hawaii product manager for Global Leisure Travel Inc.

>> Carl P. Hennrich has been named business solutions advisor for the sales division of Marsh Hawaii. He will focus on initiating new business opportunities and developing sales strategies for the company. Hennrich has worked in the Hawaii insurance industry for more than 25 years, most recently at Aon Risk Services Inc.

>> John R. MacGregor has been named first vice president for Investments at Salomon Smith Barney. He will work out of its Alakea Street offices.

>> Bryan Ito has been named data sales manager at Sprint Hawaii. Ito was previously employed at Inacom Information Systems, where he had a number of managerial positions.

PROMOTIONS

>> Lester G.L. Wong has been named president of First Hawaii Title Corp. He has served as legal counsel for the company since 1994.

>> Paul Horner and Mark Vinsko have been promoted to hotel manager for Lanai's Lodge at Koele and Manele Bay Hotel, respectively. They will be responsible for overseeing all hotel activities at their respective properties. Horner joined Koele in 1993 as dining room manager and was most recently room division director. Vinsko was most recently resort controller of the Manele Bay Hotel.

>> Alan A. Tucker has been named vice president of engineering services for Hawaii Building Maintenance. He will oversee the maintenance of more than 2.3 million square feet of commercial office space throughout the state. Tucker joined Hawaii Building Maintenance in 1996 as director of mechanical maintenance services.

>> Cori Weston has been named senior vice president and Terry Sasamura vice president at Bank of Hawaii.

On the board

>> Elbert T. Saito was named president of The Sheet Metal Contractors Association for the 2001-02 term during its 40th annual installation banquet. He is president of Commercial Sheetmetal Co. Other officers are: Miles M. Kubo, Alakai Mechanical Corp., vice-president; Wai Lik Chan, Oahu Plumbing and Sheet Metal Ltd., secretary; and Yoshiko Kawakami, Quality Sheetmetal and A/C Co. Ltd., treasurer. Newly installed directors were: Jeanette T. Monma, AMSCO; Neal K. Arita, Heide and Cook Ltd.; and Gabriel Zee, HSI Mechanical Inc.

Recognition

>> Mike Fox recently received three awards at the International Modular Building Institute's Annual Convention and Trade Show. Fox, president of Hawaii Modular Space, received first place in the permanent structure category for his company's work on Pualani Manor. His company also won honorable mentions for work on the Department of Land and Natural Resources Oahu Baseyard and Kaiser High School.

>> Bennett Fung has been certified as a project management professional by the Project Management Institute. Fung is a project manager and structural team manager at SSFM International.
