Jan Dawn Loustalot, above, a partner in Origin Birth Creations,
shows 14-month-old daughter Kiana the "belly cast" she made
for herself when she was pregnant with Kiana. Origin Birth Creations
casts tummies of pregnant women in plaster of Paris, then designs
them with paint, jewelry, ceramic pieces and pictures to reflect the
wishes of its clients.

done in ceramic pieces for the Year of the Snake. Loustalot's
business is among exhibitors at this weekend's New Baby Expo at
the Neal Blaisdell Center Exhibition Hall.



CHICK JOINS SEABIRDS

A red-footed booby chick is the newest member of Sea Life Park's
free-flying seabird colony. The chick's hatch date is estimated to
be Feb. 1. The red-footed booby is the smallest of all boobies.
Adults' legs and feet are red, and the birds have pale blue bills.
