Minh Van Chau, 46, of Honolulu, died May 3 in Queen's Medical Center. He was born in Vietnam. He is survived by brothers Andy H., David, Larry V. and Eric V., and sisters Janet Chau Lien, Stacey Phuong Le Tran and Stephanie L.Q. Chan. Napoleon Martin "Nappy" Durante Jr., 68, of Kailua, a retired Honolulu police sergeant and a U.S. Marshals court security officer, died Tuesday. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Elsie "Kawao"; sons Kirk L.K., Hamilton "Kealii," Napoleon J. "Kalani" and Alexander K. "Alika"; daughters Korin Carter, Dr. Kathleen Durante Moniz and Kalae Carreira; sisters Abigail Robello and Anita Oliver; brother Joseph; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Anacito Gamayo Garot Sr., 90, of Kailua, died May 4 in Castle Medical Center. He was born in the Philippines. He is survived by wife Damasa; children Anita Gabriel, Agnes Bolosan, Aida Corpuz, Anacito Jr., Alice Lazo and Dr. Anna Piianaia; sister Cecilia and 14 grandchildren. Daniel Kekuhaupio Kamalani, 60, of Las Vegas, who died April 25, is survived by son Francis Kekuhaupio. Additional information was provided by the family for an obituary published Saturday.

William Waa "Pumpkin" Kekauoha Sr., 61, of Honolulu, a retired heavy-equipment operator, died May 4 at home. He was born in Laie. Floyd Louis Motteler, 75, of Honolulu, died May 5 in Tripler Army Medical Center. He was born in Indiana. James Yoshito Ohta Sr., 92, formerly of Wailuku, Maui, retired scout executive for the Maui County Boy Scouts of America after 42 years of service, died Tuesday in St. Francis Hospice-Nuuanu. He was born in Waihee, Maui. He is survived by wife Mary S.; son James Y. Jr.; daughters Charlotte M. Muraoka and Marilyn Johnson; sisters Yoshiko Sentani, Shizue Okazaki and Hanako Fukunaga; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Services: 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Kalihi Union Church, 2214 N.
