[PRO BASEBALL]

HAWAII'S OWN

Benny Agbayani, Mets: The St. Louis School and Hawaii Pacific University alumnus was given the day off as New York lost to Arizona, 8-2. Tsuyoshi Shinjo took his place in left field and Timoniel Perez batted in the leadoff spot, where Agbayani has been batting.

Mike Fetters, Dodgers: The Iolani graduate was credited with his first blown save of the season in a 3-2 loss to the Cubs despite giving up only an unearned run. With Fetters pitching in the eighth, Los Angeles shortstop Alex Cora made an error, allowing Damon Buford to reach base. Fetters then allowed a single and a walk as Chicago tied the score at 2.

Chris Truby, Astros: The Damien Memorial High School alumnus started at third base and batted eighth. He went 1-for-5 with a strikeout in Houston's 13-7 win in Montreal, dropping his batting average to .217.
