"I've always been in awe of the floral beauty of nature," says Paul Hughes, a freelance photojournalist.

Hughes discovered a simple box Brownie camera on his boyhood Oklaholma farm and since then has enjoyed conveying floral beauty through film.

He has been to 63 countries and 48 states. While in Europe, Asia and Central America, his fascination with floral photography continued. His images of flowers have been exhibited in Japan, Korea, Germany, England and the United States. Hughes now lives in Kaneohe and invites comments via e-mail at photopaulh@aol.com.
