Roque "Roy" Acol Amantiad, 77, of Haleiwa, a heavy-equipment mechanic at Schofield Barracks, died April 20. He was born in Waialua. He is survived by wife Sally; sons Larry, Robert, Michael, Melvin and Brian; daughter Marlene; brothers Roger Amantiad and Sammy, Bobby and Sonny Alipio; sister Susie Alipio; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Augustine Kamaka Duarte Sr., 78, of Kailua-Kona, a retired plumber supervisor from the Pipe Fitters Union, died last Saturday in Kona Community Hospital. He was born in Kuakini, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Mary Lilinoe; sons Augustine K. Jr., Mark A. "Mac" and Wayne L.K.; brother Richard; 10 grandchildren and 13 grandchildren. Pedro Garlejo, 89, of Kula, Maui, a retired laborer for Hawaiian Commercial & Sugar Co., died Thursday in Kula Hospital. He was born in the Philippines. He is survived by stepsons Joseph, William and Lonnie Baylosis; stepdaughters Helen England, Rosario Honeycutt, Lourdes Baylosis and Josephine Nakagawa; 30 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Escolastica Salinas Grande, 65, of Waianae died Monday. She was born in Tarlac, Paniqui, the Philippines. She is survived by husband Carlos; sons Ernesto, Rogelio and Carlos Jr.; daughters Remedios Yeves, Maribel Tiangsing, Lorna Justo and Rowena Grande; brother Eduardo Salinas; sister Eugenia Cariaga and 17 grandchildren. Annabelle Kuulei Kam, 62, of Kaneohe, a retired GTE Hawaiian Tel operator with 36 years of service, died Tuesday in Kailua. She was born in Honolulu. She is survived by son Rory; brothers Leroy and Douglas Akiu; sisters Jacqueline Akiu, Elaine Higgins and Lorraine Cossey; and three grandchildren. Thomas John Kaukeano, 67, of Honolulu, retired program director at Unity House Center for Teamsters and Hotel Workers Union Local 5, died Tuesday. He was born in Philadelphia. Wallace S. Kawaoka M.D., 89, of Honolulu, a retired ophthalmologist, died Tuesday in Kuakini Medical Center. He was battalion surgeon for the 442nd Regimental Combat Team. Wallace Kaoru Kimura, 94, of Kula, Maui, a farmer, died April 18 in Kula Hospital. Kimura also has been a bookkeeper and office manager for Haleakala Ranch. He was born in Puuwaawaa, Hawaii. He is survived by daughter Ethel S. Yamaguchi, brothers Yutaka and Hisao, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Antonio "Sabu" "Tony" Maglinti, 70, of Honolulu, a straddler driver for Matson Navigation Co. and stevedore who died April 25 in Honolulu, is also survived by wife Rosario "Rose" Patigayon-Maglinti. The mortuary provided incorrect information for an obituary published yesterday.

Patrick "Pat" Ortello, 76, of Waipahu, a U.S. Army veteran, died April 25 in Honolulu. He was born in Makawao, Maui. He is survived by wife Prescila. Private services.

Aaron James Prem, 35, of Kapaa, Kauai, a restaurant manager for Aston Hotel, died Monday in Wilcox Memorial Hospital. He was born in Lihue. Lucinda "Frances" White-McRoberts, 63, of Waianae died Thursday in Honolulu. She is survived by daughter Laura Rohleder; mother Benita Lasconia; sisters Sally Gato-Moore, Crispina Ward, Lorraine Manadik and Ischyria Matsuura; brothers Henry, Bernard, John, Phillip and Matthew Lasconia; and six grandchildren.
