Iolani halted Pac-Five's magical run in the Interscholastic League of Honolulu baseball tournament with a 13-3 win last night at Ala Wai Field.

The Raiders exploded for 11 runs in the final two innings to blow open a tight game. With the game tied 2-2 entering the sixth inning, Iolani sent 12 batters to the plate in a six-run outburst, belting five doubles and a triple.

The Raiders added five more in the seventh, highlighted by Blaine Umeda's home run over the right field fence. Umeda led Iolani by going 4-for-4.

The loss ended Pac-Five's season, but there were few long faces in the Wolfpack dugout after the game. After going 4-11 in the regular season, Pac-Five beat Maryknoll, Kamehameha and Punahou to finish third in the double-elimination tournament.

"They're ecstatic," said Pac-Five coach Randy Oyama. "They're used to not winning at all, so this is big stuff for them. They made tremendous improvements the whole season."

Iolani advances to face Mid-Pacific at 7 p.m. tomorrow at Aloha Stadium. The Raiders must beat the Owls tomorrow and Tuesday to win the tournament title.
