SOMETHING OLD, SOMETHING CANOE . . .
100-year-old restored koa canoe comes
ashore for display at Waikiki

Employees of the Outrigger Waikiki Hotel draped a plumeria lei
on a 100-year-old restored koa outrigger canoe after it was paddled
onto Kuhio Beach in front of Duke's Restaurant yesterday. The
canoe, named Kaukahi, will be displayed in the hotel's lobby.

Sara Caires took Harry, a horse stabled at Hilltop Stables in
Waimanalo, for his Monday walk this week. Horses need
exercise every day, and since Harry's owner doesn't come
on Mondays, Sara was taking care of him.
