CLAWS FOR A CAUSE

At Red Lobster in Waikiki, Lt. Kurt Kendro, state director of the
Troy Barboza Law Enforce- ment Torch Run, showed off a couple
of live lobsters yesterday for the annual Cops & Lobsters fund-raiser.
The national event is organized by Red Lobster, local law enforcement
and Special Olympics. Honolulu police become celebrity waiters,
serving guests to earn tips for Special Olympics and the Torch Run.
Last year, they earned $2,783 of $1.2 million raised nationally.
This year's event continues today at Red Lobster.
