>> Brian Sunada has been named vice president of the commercial real estate loan division at American Savings Bank. Previously, Sunada spent more than 15 years at Bank of Hawaii in construction lending and income property. He was also a vice president of finance at a C. Brewer subsidiary prior to joining Bank of Hawaii.

>> Bonnie West has been named branch sales manager at the Lahaina Branch of American Savings Bank. She will be responsible for oversight of daily operations and business development in the surrounding area. West previously spent six years as branch manager for World Savings and Loan, based in Southern California.

>> Dr. David Manning has joined Straub Clinic and Hospital's orthopedics department. His special interests include general orthopedic practice with an emphasis on sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery.

>> Brenda Mahoney is a new real estate agent with Castle & Cooke Homes Hawaii, working in Mililani Mauka. She previously worked as a sales manager with Schuler Homes for five years and has 15 years of real estate experience in Hawaii. She is also the education chairwoman for the Certified Residential Specialist organization.

PROMOTIONS

>> Greg K. Ishikawa recently was promoted to vice president for lending at Hawaii Schools Federal Credit Union. Most recently, he served as a loan officer for the credit union, and before that was branch manager at a local bank.

>> Laura Maruyama has been named senior account executive at ADWorks Inc. She has been an account coordinator and account executive since joining the company in 1997.
