New jobs

>> Cynthia Wyrick has been named senior vice president and investor relations manager at Bank of Hawaii. Wyrick moved to Hawaii from San Francisco, where she was vice president of investor relations for Softnet Systems Inc. Wyrick will represent Bank of Hawaii to institutional and retail investment communities.

>> Richard Thomas Reep has joined Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo as design services director. He joins WATG after spending time in Orlando, Fla. as director of architecture at Marriott Vacation Club International. At WATG, Reep will be responsible for the design of hotel and timeshare projects.

>> Dr. Ronald N. Montaperto was named dean of academics for the Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies. He is a specialist in East Asian security affairs, focusing on Chinese and Japanese foreign and national security policies. Montaperto was previously a senior research professor at National Defense University in Washington, D.C.

>> Deena Yoshimoto has been named director of human resources at Starr Seigle Communications. She was previously in human resources at Y. Hata & Co. Ltd. And Laurie Schlegel has been named office manager at the firm. Prior to joining Starr Seigle, Schlegel was operations manager for the Hawaii Newspaper Agency.
