Opens tomorrow

Josie and the Pussycats: The Hanna-Barbera '80s Saturday cartoon comes to life as this much-hyped satire pokes fun at the pop music industry. Rachael Leigh Cook, Tara Reid and Rosario Dawson play the kitty band. (PG-13)

Kingdom Come: Comedy about a group of old friends who band together when a despicable family member dies. The ensemble cast is headed by LL Cool J, Jada Pinkett and Vivica A. Fox. (PG)

Adventures of Joe Dirt: David Spade's latest comedy; he portrays a wig-wearin', rock T-shirt-sportin' trailer-trash "hero." (PG-13)

Opens Friday

Bridget Jones's Diary: Fine adaptation (co-written by the book's author, Helen Fielding) of a year in the life of a young British woman who works in the publishing industry. With Renee Zellweger in the title role and co-starring Colin Firth and Hugh Grant. (R)
