Kalanianaole Highway
work begins today

The state Department of Transportation advises Oahu motorists that waterline installation work is scheduled to begin today on Kalanianaole Highway between Ainakoa Avenue and Laukahi Street.

Two lanes in the Honolulu-bound direction will be closed Mondays through Fridays between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.

During this time, one lane in the Koko Head-bound direction will be used as a contraflow lane, which will allow two-lane traffic flow in each direction.

Workers will also continue to install traffic signals at the Analii Street intersection.

Motorists are advised to use caution while driving through the work area, to anticipate delays and to allow for extra travel time.
