Bank of Hawaii parent
cashes in for the week

Pacific Century Corp., parent of Bank of Hawaii, was one of only four Hawaii-based companies this week to post a gain in the Bloomberg Honolulu Star-Bulletin Index. The bank was up 7.84 percent in the 14-company, capitalization-weighted index.

CB Bancshares Inc., parent of City Bank, was next with a 2.59 percent increase, followed by Barnwell Industries Inc., up 2.15 percent, and Cheap Tickets Inc., up 1.22 percent. Aquasearch Inc. and Hawaiian Airlines Inc., off 20.59 percent and 20.31 percent, respectively, were the worst performers.
