Twenty-nine students competed in two age categories, 13 to 15 and 16 to 19.
Winners in the age 13 to 15 category were Kai Chapman of Kamehameha Schools, Kyle Salvador of Pearl City High School (tie) and Chelsie Castillo of University Lab School.
Gaison and Anderson were winners in the 16 to 19 category and also took overall honors.
The People's Choice Award, selected by the audience, went to Alana Paulo-Tamashiro of Varsity International School.
Hawaii Teens editor Norise Jastillana said, "We're trying to generate interest in kids who are doing things, who are very involved in their schools.
"Some of these kids are really amazing. One of the girls is a violinist, a choir master and she played all these sports."
Jastillana said she couldn't have imagined being so active when she was a teen-ager.
"It wasn't my nature. I was more introverted, bookish. I had to stay in the band with all the band nerds because my mother said so.
"What I see now is a generation that has changed. They're more independent because their parents have given them more freedom to make their own decisions, and they're more mature, more on target for their career ambitions.
"What I picked up during these interviews is that these teens have goals and dreams, and those goals keep them on a straight course."
