Gymnastics tickets remain available

Tickets are still available for the Pontiac American Team Cup gymnastics meet this weekend at the Neal Blaisdell Arena.

The United States, Romania and China will vie in men's competition Friday and in women's competition Saturday. Both meets begin at 7 p.m.

The Romanian squad originally featured team gold medalists Andreea Raducan and Andreea Isarescu, but both will not be able to compete due to injury. Raducan suffered a ruptured bicep in mid-February, while Isarescu recently recovered from an injury that kept her from training at the level necessary for competition.

On the men's side, USA will feature three 2000 Olympians: twins Paul and Morgan Hamm and Sean Townsend. Brett McClure and Guard Young, competitors at the 2000 Olympic Trials along with 1997 World Team member Mike Dutka, rounds out the lineup.
