Rita Delgado Aiu, 82, of Pearl City, founder of Rita's Poodle Styling, died March 13 in Queen's Medical Center. She was born in Illinois. She is survived by friend Benard Lanin; brother Joseph Delgado; sister Mary Cruz; and hanai daughter Brenda Marshall. Mass: 9:15 a.m. Monday at St. Elizabeth's Church in Aiea. Shinobu Joan Amaral, 72, of Kamuela, Hawaii, died March 19 in Hale Hoola Hamakua. She was born in Kohala, Hawaii. Samuel Omii "Boy" Apiki, 58, of Waimanalo, a warehouseman, died March 14 in Kailua. He was born in Honolulu. Margaret Souza Gilliland, 82, of Honolulu, a foreperson at CPC "Del Monte" Pineapple Cannery, died March 19 in Kuakini Medical Center. She was born in Honolulu. She is survived by son Reynold F. McClellan; daughters Natalie C. Moniz and Nanita J. Lucero; sisters Mary Rente, Thelma Enos, Ethel Camacho and Ruth Souza; 16 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and seven great great-grandchildren. John Manoua Kainoa, 83, of Kihei, Maui, formerly of Molokai, a heavy equipment operator for the pineapple company on Molokai and a fisherman, died March 15 in Hale Makua in Kahului. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by sons John A., Paul, David and John; daughters Joyce Kainoa, Elaine Needham, Sherlene Silva and Marielle Giles; 19 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Frank Keanaina Kuamoo Sr., 78, of Hoolehua, Molokai, a retired Federal Aviation Administration employee, died Mar. 2 in Queen's Medical Center. He was born in Hilo. Betty Hideko Smith, 77, of Waialua, Oahu, and Haiku, Maui, former caretaker for the Haleiwa Beach Club, died March 16 in Maui Memorial Medical Center. She was born in Honolulu.
