Calling all chaperones!

Bared midriffs for prom season drew the most oohs and ahhs from high schoolers in the crowd during Ala Moana Center's Spring Festival Fashion Show Saturday night.

About 600 turned out for the event, which opened with Forte singing three songs from its new CD.

its collection of washable silks and linens.

Then the stage filled with color as KITV news personalities introduced 40 designs from Liquid Aloha, Tapestries by Hauoli, Harley-Davidson Boutique, The White House/Black Market, Ethel's, Celine, Cache and Loewe.

In addition to baring midriffs, many of the models came out bearing small bouquets of spring flowers from Flowers & Fun.

Spring makeup trends were shown by Sephora and Body & Soul.
