>> Jeffrey P. Bloom of Computer Training Academy, JML Hawaii and STS Inc. has won Small Business Person of the Year in the Small Business Administration's Small Business Awards.

Bloom was recognized as a leader in technology training, computer literacy and work force development. Bloom will be honored along with other SBA award winners at a luncheon at the Sheraton-Waikiki May 17.

New jobs

>> Darrell T. Young and Brandie Brackin have joined Hawaiiana Management Co., each with the title of management executive. Young came from Tesoro Hawaii Corp., where he was government affairs representative.

Brackin was a Realtor associate at Century 21 Lewis Real Estate and, before that, senior community association manager at Chaney, Brooks & Co. Hawaiiana Management manages $6 billion worth of real estate.
