Interesting facts--Pepperdine: This weekend's matches mark the return of Dunphy to the Stan Sheriff Center. Dunphy rejoined the Pepperdine program in October after a 17-month sabbatical as assistant coach with the U.S. Olympic team in Sydney. He has coached three NCAA champions since 1977, and was head coach of the 1988 U.S. team that won the Olympic gold medal in Seoul. ... The Waves have three Hawaii products on their roster --Wong (Punahou), junior outside hitter Pono Kahale (Kamehameha) and freshman setter/outside hitter James Ka (Kamehameha). Ka is redshirting. Wong is the younger brother of beach volleyball Olympian Kevin Wong. Hawaii: The 10,000th fan for every remaining home match, beginning tomorrow, will win a brand new surfboard from Local Motion. ... Miladinovic's all-time leading block assists school record is now at 409.
